چکیده
Abstract This recommendation is based on the results of an inter-laboratory study organised by RILEM technical committee TC 264-RAP "Asphalt Pavement Recycling"—Task Group 3 (TG3) focusing Asphalt Binder for Recycled Mixture. The TG3 aimed to evaluate effect a specific family materials known as asphalt recycling agent (ARA) aged binder under different configurations. Even though ageing irreversible phenomenon, effective ARA must have capability improve flexibility bituminous and their resistance against cracking susceptibility with no adverse rutting pavements containing reclaimed asphalt. A total 17 participating laboratories analysed properties blends composed from in three contents (60, 80, 100%), virgin binder. physical were thoroughly evaluated through traditional rheological testing. proposes restore original material at low intermediate temperatures (i.e. resistance) while balancing high-temperature characteristics susceptibility) durable impact throughout progression phenomena. Therefore, useing Dynamic Shear Rheometer foreseen more suitable sustainable means agent. Compared conventional testing, proposed approach requires fewer resulting faster experimental procedure one single test.

Infrared Thermography Revolutionizes Hot-Mix Asphalt Paving
Hot-mix asphalt (HMA) surfaces comprise about 90% of the highways and roads in the U.S. Highways and are typically engineered to last 15 years or more, but many have been failing early due to potholes, cracks, raveling, and other problems. This premature road failure unnecessarily wastes millions of taxpayer dollars every year. This paper describes a series of research studies that were conduct...
متن کاملTG 6 of Rilem TC - SIB : Classification of RAP 1 / 14 Classification of Recycled Asphalt ( RA ) Material
Use of recycled asphalt pavements (RA) in pavement rehabilitation processes is continuously growing as recycling techniques, such as cold recycling (CR), are being utilized in increasing magnitude. The focus of this paper is on developing a state of the art and state of the practice summary of processes used for classification of RA. A variety of topics were explored through an exhaustive liter...

US transportation agencies have been increasingly using recycled asphalt shingles (RAS) in hot mix asphalt (HMA) applications over the last 25 years. Initial use of RAS started with recycled postmanufacturers shingles, but now agencies are showing a growing interest in using post-consumer (tear-off) RAS in asphalt applications. Post-consumer asphalt shingles typically have 20 to 30 percent asph...

متن کاملEvaluating the Performance of Hot Mix Asphalt with Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement and Heavy Vacuum Slops as Rejuvenator
Due to the high price of crude oil, and consequently asphalt binder, the application of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) in pavement technology is widely considered. The present paper is the result of a laboratory research which was carried out to investigate the effects of adding a rejuvenating agent to Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) with RAP. To this end, test samples comprised of Aged Asphalt Binder ...
